Well, for anyone else that may want to know... Take a shop rag, preferably clean, slip it under the handle while holding one end in each hand like a U shape. Pull up while wiggiling and the clip should pop off. I for some reason this dosen't work, turn the rag around and pull down (the clip may have been installed on the under side) No need to buy trim removal tools or bend up a coat hanger!

 

Go to the auto parts store and spend five bucks on the tool

 

well i did it with chicken wire lol i fished 1 end of the wire under the c-clip and used a pair of needel nose pliers to pull the other end of the wire up and then just tugged the wire up till the c clip popped out took like 10 minutes of fishing wire under clip. 2nd time i went to store and bought littel hook tool real small for like 5 bucka kinda looks like a dentist pick and i just slip it under clip and pull works like a charm lol
