Default Improve Gas Mileage

I have a 5.2l 4x4 dakota and get around 15mpg. I know trucks especially 4x4's dont get great mileage, and ive read the other articles on this forum about mileage, but there was a subject left attended too. I read a few articles online about acetone in your gas tank, to help vaporize gasoline better and improve mileage. 3oz. to 10 gallons is the conversion they reccomened. I am a little leary of trying this on my truck and was wondering if anyone has tried it before, and what results you got. Thanks guys.

Yeah, I read the same article and was wondering the same thing. I also heard that a Cold Air Intake hurts mpg, and it warmer air that improves gas mileage?????? Is that true, i was considering a CAI because I initially read it improves gas mileage, well which is it????????? Ill appreciate any answers and input, I really want a little better mileage.

I added a flowmaster Delta dual two weeks ago and on a recent 800 mile trip (with my 600 lb bike in the bed) I got 17 mpg! And the sound was awesome!

I added a K&N air filter today and am told this should add some more milage? Will tell.

I'd stay away from fuel additives. My 2cents anyway.

The link below is to a (Very) long post that is best printed out
and read a little at a time. Take the time to follow the weblinks
given too.

There is enough MPG improvement stuff in the post
to keep you busy for several months. Notice that some of the
mods are low cost.

there is nothing on the market that actually increases your gas mileage. If you want more mileage go buy a hybrid. If you buy a vehicle w/ v8 you should know it is going to get ****ty mileage. Plain & Simple !!!!![>:]
