I just bought a 2004 dakota quad cab with the v6 and an auto tranny. im not sure if it has a limited slip, and was wondering if anyone here could tell me if theres a way to tell if it does or not. I know the axle ratio is 3:55 and the truck is also the SXT model.

Carfuly jack the rear of the car up (use stands) with the hand-brake off but in gear or Park. Try to turn one of the wheels. If you can't or they try to move together then you have a Limited Slip diff. If you can turn one and the other turns the opposite direction then no LSD!
Good luck,

to: GOTTA97DAKOTA - I just put my stock clear bulbs back in. you can have a white light for a turnsignal you just cant have a blue light. I dont like the look of the amber color thats why i got clear turnsignals. soon im gonna buy super white bulbs for my turnsignals I just have fix some other stuff right now.

from what i understand limited slip was an option that wasnt on that many daks, i think u had to have fully loaded truck to get it. since u have QC v6 which is not too common says its probably a pretty base model truck and it doesnt have LSD,
Im new hear so i could totally be wrong but its my 2 cents
