Difference between the R/T 5.9l and SLT 5.9l
Hi guys, I'm a Ford guy at heart (don't hold that against me), but I just picked up a 2000 Durango SLT with the 5.9l engine and I love it. Prior to purchasing this SLT I test drove an R/T which is what sold me on the Durango (probably no big surprise to you guys), but because of the milage difference and condition, it made more sense to go with the SLT I bought. My question is, what are the mechanical differences between the 5.9L in the SLT Vs. the R/T? Different cam? Heads? Rockers? Intake? or just a more aggresive computer tune/exhaust package? If you have any thoughts, I'd greatly appreciate the assistance. Thanks!
It may help you get some answers if you were to post your questions in the "Durango SUV Forum" you are in the "Dakota TRUCK Forum"...have a good one.
