Dakota VS. Durango
If we're speaking stock vs. stock....the Dakota wins no question....but not by truck lengths...maybe a length...or so...
The Durango just weighs more and has to overcome more to match the Dakota....but its no slouch either....
The RC/CC Dakota R/T's should win.....but I've seen a few Durangos with mods that would eat your eyeballs out.....like henry75's Durango R/T.....with his SC....
Edit: One sidenote, launching will be the biggest factor....as the R/T Dakotas are only 4x2...and if you spin the tires...you'll probably have a much closer race then you expected....possibly even losing...

gotta admit though, the durango had me off the line cuz of the AWD, but once i got traction, i put a little distance on it. now, if sopme1 could figure out how to swap that AWD driveline into a Dakota R/T...that would be like....words cannot describe haha.
Mike - it's not a hard swap, it's all factory stuff. My 5.9 quad cab doesn't have the AWD transfer case, but it was an option iirc.
I'd be interested to see a QC 4x4 vs the Durango R/T, I'd bet it would be really close. My QC doesn't have much in the way of traction problems at all on dry pavement.

There was a guy on the Dakota board I used to hang out on that was talking about doing just that. Swapping a AWD R/T Durango into his club cab. Said that most of the parts were pretty much bolt on.....so I would think it wouldnt all that difficult...as the only big issues would be tearing stuff apart.
Your QC should actually come very close to winning....but you wont win stock for stock. The R/T's have a better performance package over the SLT's....not by much....but just enough...
