Default Flowmaster and Magnaflow single in, dual out mufflers

Anyone use these? How do they perform and sound? Does the OAL affect sound and performance? Which is best, a single three inch going into dual 2.5's or 2.5 in and out.

Thanks,
Tim

i have a Flowmaster 40 sereis on my 5.9 R/T 3" in 2.5" dual out and im very happy with it. my friend has 5.9 Ram with Magnaflow 3" in dual 2.5" out and i like his as well. the Flowmaster is really deep and Magnaflow is loud. if u want a nice deep tone, go flowmaster, if u want plain loud, go magnaflow, and if u want both, go with Gibson.

I have the flowmaster 40 series on my dakota R/T. 3" in 2.5" out...like mikes....it sounds mean as hell and it doesn't sound like a big redneck truck or anything.

I have Flowmaster 40 Series, like Mike and Dave. 3" in, 2.5 out....Its on 4.7L 4x4 Sport, I get compliments quite often. Sounds deep, but is quite loud when I get on it. I got pulled over one time, but the Officer just told me not to be so "obvious". I have my cold air intake on the way, so I'm looking forward to a little deeper sound from the front. Go with Flow, I think you'll be satisfied!
