Default rear speaker question

hey guys i have a question about my rear speakers in my dakota. i look at them all the wires are connected and the speaker is not blown. i have no music that comes out of either of the rear speakers and i have no idea where to start to solve the problem. the guy that did have the truck before me had a amp hooked up so i dunno if that has ne thing to do with it or not. but any help or suggestions will work.

ps my truck is a 98 sport reg. cab if that helps any

i bet the wires were run to where the amp used to be and not actually to the stereo. follow the wires from the stereo back and see where they take you

first make sure the amp is turning on. if it is, make sure the rca cables coming off the amp are still connected in the back of the deck.

Run some new wires.. from the Hu to the speakers..
That sould fix it.. if not then the rear outs on the HU may be bad..
Peace Troy
