Default Need help.

I have a 2000 Dodge dakota with the 4.7 and the governer kicks in at 98mph. Does anyone know how to remove the governer with out using the Ignition key trick?

Why the need to take off the Governor? Planning on doing a top speed test soon? If so hope you got good wheels/tires and somethin for downforce because that truck will be so squirrely at high speeds...

squirrely? Mine seems fine upwards of 110, but I just don't do it all that often.

dont know much about earlier daks. my 05 throttles back at 118.0 dodge says with the right tunning and chips could be up as far as 130.00. most of the earlier trucks are at 98/99 for saftey reasons. try installing a superchip to see if it will change the top sped limiter
