Default HELP with the PCV valve

hello to all i am new to this board. i have owned 5 dakotas and am currently driving a 2000 CC 4x4. my pcm is coding a P0445 which i hear is something to do with the pcv valve. i want to test it but am having trouble getting my hands to it. there are 2 silverish pipes that go over it and under the airflow system that connects to the throttle body. i removed the airflow system and unsnapped the clips on these two silver pipes but i still cant wiggle them free enough to get my hands down there to remove the valve.
any suggestions?
thanks
sean
