Default MTX Thunderform

i was thinking about getting the MTX Thunderform set up for my pickup but i wanted to know how it was. Is there very much bass and how long will it last. I have never had MTX products before so i dont know how they perform. Also, how big of of an amp would i need to get the best performance out of them?

two thunder4500s in a thunderform are rated for 450wrms. the stock thunderform is great for daily music; not very good for soundoff competition.

i am not really looking for a system for soundoff competitions, but i also dont want a system that puts out no bass what so ever. i want subs for everyday use that put out a decent amount of bass and i can fit under my back seat.

is your truck regular cab or extended??? if it is extended then you have a lot of different things you could do. my truck is regular cab and my system is loud as hell..here is what i have-

2006 panasonic head unit with ipod adaptor...............................$320

Two 12" Flat pioneer subs (mounting depth is 3.75 inches)...........$200 each ($400)

hifonics zx1000 two channel amp (1000 watts RMS).....................$550

Alpine type S speakers in the doors............................................$ 50 each ($100)

eclipse 5.25in speakers in the back.............................................$ 50 each ($100)

sound storm 1200 watt max amp (running just the speakers)........$180

Two amp kits and two curcuit breakers........................................$2 30

Kinetik HC600 High current power cell (100 farad cap)..................$200

total..................$2080

in my old system i had two 10" mtx thunder 6000 and my soundstorm amp.... i was very disapointed. so i did it the right way and got all quality ****. and now you can hear and feel me coming before you can see me. one thing i have learned in car audio is you get what you pay for. soooo dont buy cheap **** cuz you will just end up ripping it out 6 month later and wasting your money like i did. im not saying that mtx sucks but for a little more money there is alot better stuff out there.

my trruck is an extended cab. what about putting two JL 10wo or even the new w1's. then i would run a kenwood 1000 watt amp, and i am doing some research on head units but i am thinking about going with a kenwood head unit. and in my front doors i have jl audio 6.5 inch speakers and small amps in each door.

anything jl is going to beat....im not a big fan of of kenwood. for head units i would stick with pioneer, alpine, clarion, and panasonic (newer models)...for an amp go with hifonics, jl, or kicker.....for the subs JL all the way but kicker is up there too....my top pics would be 2006 panasonic head unit (cuz i have one and it friggin sweet) and JL amp and subs...(this is if your not on a budget)
