Default 5.2 stumbling under load

99 Dak 4x4 auto with 5.2 occasionally stumbles when under load such as starting up a hill when in overdrive. It goes away if you turn OD off or bump gas enough to downshift. I've changed plugs, coil, dist cap and rotor and plug wires, still get the occasional stumbling. No codes or lights. I regularly run fuel injector cleaner and the old plugs were all the same clean burning condition. I was wondering about fuel pump but thought low fuel pressure would throw a code. Any ideas?

i doubt it would be low fuel pressure, perhaps you have a clogged cat? how many miles are on it? and are you running 31" tires?

I just hit 60,000 miles. I'm running 32x11.5" BFG ATs.

I'm having the the SAME problem. I'm not sure what i'm going to do. I'm looking for advice also, I've been looking on dodgedakotas.net also and can't find anything. I am also wondering if it could be the Cat Conv. or TPS????

I'm thinking of trying the TPS soon. I'll definatly let you know if it works!

I wish we could find someone who has the same problem!

If you have a clogged cat most of the time after runnig it would be a glowing red hot color.
