Default new struts worth it?

hey again, sorry to post so many questions. as you may know i have a 99 sport 4x4 5 sp, i believe it has a lift kit on it and the torsion bars are cranked since it is riding pretty level.(i think thats what it means) while driving, its a pretty bumpy ride. is this because the bars are cranked? or because i should get new struts? a local place is having monroe gas-matic truck struts on sale with free installation. they are 17.99 a piece and i am seriously thinking about getting 4 new. will this help or might there be another cause of the rough ride?

Default RE: new struts worth it?

The ride will be a lil more bumpy do to the t-bars being cranked. It will stiffin up the ride. Just getting regular shocks won't really solve the problem. The reason being is the ones you have are maxed out at the moment do to the cranking. If you look you should see a lot of shaft sticking out. To really solve the problem you would have to get a tad longer shock. Thats what I plan on doing when I need to get new ones. I'll probably go with some Ranchos.
