Default P300 Series Codes Reset?

I'm working on a Cylinder 3 misfire P0303 --- After the prob is corrected, will the code be reset on its own after several miles of driving, or do I need to disconnect the battery to reset?

BTW -- I see alot of past posts talking about Cylinder Misfire codes after a plenum gasket replace, and that's what I just finished, too. Any connection?

I have taken out plug 3 and it was dry and white. Will try a new set of plugs all around, reroute the wires according to the TSB and lastly pull the injector(s) and clean. After that, the only thing I know to check is compression test.

Thank you,
Lee

Default RE: P300 Series Codes Reset?

i always clear the code before testing so i know if it makes the same code again. if you dont have a scanner you will have to disconnect the battery for like 20 minutes as the computer has a KAM battery
