Default I need help with Cooling system...

My truck is running very hot (between 210 and 230) consistently. I live in San Antonio, where it's near 100 degrees most of the summer. I have replaced the thermostat, the temp sensor, the water pump, the fan clutch, and finally, the radiator a few days ago....and it runs hotter faster now. I have taken it to 2 different mechanics and niether of them had any clue as to why it's running so hot. There are no signs of cracked or warped heads, nor block.
Everyone is clueless. Let me ask this question: what are the downsides to running without a thermostat? I've been told that the thermostat is on there to heat up the water, so that you can turn your heater on faster in the winter.....but as I said....San Antonio, where it's rarely below freezing......

Any help on this matter would be MUCH appreciated! Thanks in advance!

i would suspect that after changing out those parts you trapped some air in a bubble somewhere thats restricing water flow. but any mechanic should have been able to catch that one. if it were mine i would flush the system and run the heater for a while to get the whole system flowing. i had a similar problem with my truck and that fixed it. at the time the temp here was between 100-110 degrees for a week or so

Actually, I failed to mention that I did have a mechanic put a vacuum on the radiator cap and pull all of the air pockets out...(or so he said)...
the only thing left i can think of is to pull the thermostat out and see what happens.

running without a thermostat is a bad idea. ok they stop the coolant from circulating and it holds it in the block to heat it up faster however it also holds coolant in the radiator allowing it to cool down. so even though it will take forever for all of the coolant to heat up because it is never held in the block when your engine finally does heat up it wont be able to cool down whatsoever because it wont stay in the radiator long enough to dissapate the heat. how many degree thermostat do you have in it right now? and what mixture of water and coolant are you useing? improper balance can cause it to overheat

A couple of other thoughts...
When you replaced the thermostat, did you put in the stock 195 degree, or get a cooler 180 degree thermostat? Also, do you always use distilled water or tap water? The tap water may put mineral deposits in the radiator.
Cheers,
Lee
