Hey bud, I was having the same problems and got lucky and found some info on another Dodge forum.

Here's the link to my files where I saved all the manuals, hope this helps.

Default Need 1998 Factory Service Manual

Help. I believe there are quite a few wiring changes between 1998 and 1999.

I need a download link for a 1998 Dakota.

Thanks

I did not have any luck using the links at the beginning of this tread, however since then I have learned that the 2000 model year factory manual is as close as one can get for 1997 Dakota. And I was able to download it (successfully) from Tradebit for $7.49 Now I am on to ball joints, bushings, and bumpers....oh my

Well, it took me a while to notice, but the 2003 Dak SM that I downloaded from this sticky, is actually for a Ram. If I search the PDF for the word "Dakota" it finds nothing. Furthermore, all the diagrams of the truck show a Ram and not a Dakota. Can anyone steer me to the 2003/2004 SM?

Same here. I spent the evening searching online. Either came up with old links that don't work, pay sites, or scam sites that said free download only to redirect to a pay site or try to load crapware on to my computer.

A couple of places that actually did provide a free download, downloaded the same mislabeled Dodge Ram factory service manual that we both already have.

I downloaded the 2001 manual from the beginning of this thread. It's for Dakota but I don't know how close it is to the 2003.

Default Owners Manual

I'm a new owner, just bought a 2001 Dakota and it didn't have an owners' manual with it.
I'm able to access the manuals linked in the OP on this thread but is there a source where I can get a .pdf owner's manual? It seems I'll have to order a hard copy but I do prefer and would pay for an electronic one instead.
