Synthetic transmision fluid
I am changing out all the fluids in my '03 to synthetic. So far everything's been straight forward, except for automatic transmiion fluid.
The Royal Purple tech guy tells me no one makes an equivalent ATF because Chrysler uses an additive not available to anyone else. However, Red Line and Amsoil both list an ATF appropriate for this application. So, who uses a synthetic ATF, which one, and what are your experiences with it? Any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Tim

I know that Chrysler transmissions have been in the past very finicky about which atf's will work in them and which won't. Personally, I'd stick to ATF+4. If you want to keep the tranny cool, buy an auxillary inline cooler.
