Yeah I had to d/c my a/c system in my taurus when I changed out the heater and it used R12 so I never bothered getting it charged. I was quoted at $500 or so for it I said f*ck it I'll sweat! Too bad I wasn't able to buy the freon and charge myself but I guess the ozone is important too...
