Default Headlight adjustment

It seems that my headlights are pointed streight down into the ground. Because of this, even with my brights i can only see clearly maybe 20 or 30 yards. I can see some screws above the light, but i am having trouble reaching them and turning them. I was just wondering if indeed these are the screws to adjust the headlights to point higher, and if they are not, what can i do to adjust them.
Thanks

yes they are the screws and you just need a torqs bit to adjust them. I had to do mine the other day cause the body shop had them pointing to the ground too.

Just like anything else that can be adjusted, there are "proper" adjustments for your headlights.
Below are the procedures to "properly aim" the headlights.
Note: parking 25 feet back is the typical way to check alignment. Most manuals say the center of the beam should be straight ahead, and "down" 2 inches from the center of the headlamp unit.
