Default help

yeah i have a 99 dakota. and i some times i get water coming out from under my dash on the pasanger side.. if anyone has any ideas of what it might be just let me know thanks..

If it smells like coolant it is your heater core otherwise it is your a/c and you have a clog you need to clear out. Look around in here for posts about how you would fix this as I don't remember where the clog is at. Check your firewall on the pasenger side is my guess though.

ok thanks yeah it doesnt smell like coolent .It is clear and looks like water.. um what would i clear it with. im new to this sit so i dont know alot like where to find stuff. if you could help that would be great.. thanks

its your ac evaporator thats under the passenger side dash. It has a drain pan it sits in because as the evaporator asorbs heat it condenses the mostire around it into water droplets which then should drip into the drain pan and then leave threw a tube out under the truck (if you ever seen escpialy on hotter days after useign the ac then getting out of truck the water that leacks down onto the ground from the passenger side of the vehicle thats actully the ac evap drain tube drain water. Just get some compresed air and blow it a few times. (dont blow it from outside in if you can help it or your gonna get a whole bunch of **** on the back side of your dash lol. Use the haynes manuel or equvilaent to find exact location.
