Default Help Crank shaft alignment Code

Sorry it was not the cam shaft it was the crank shaft

About 3 Weeks ago my 2000 4.7 died at start up when I restarted it it ran a little rough and the engine light came on . I took it to a local auto zone to check the code it was a crank shaft alignment code they were able to clear it . 2 weeks ago I am driving down the road with the ac on and all of a sudden it starts blowing hot air the compressor was coming on and off when I turn the ac on and off . 1 week ago It died again at start up when I restarted same thing happened running rough and the engine light came back on .
Today I start it up and it is still running rough I had to run in the house for something and I left it running when I came back out it was hot inside and I turned on the ac and when the cold air hit me I remembered that it had not been working I turned it off and put the windows down and start down the road and look down and the engine light had cleared .
and now it is running better what is going on with this thing is the ac and the cam shaft light related ? is the computer the problem ? OR ???????
I Need HELP I am starting not to like Dodge anymore

Default RE: Help Crank shaft alignment Code

make sure your condenser is moving freely on the belt. remove the serpentine belt and see if you ac condenser needs to be replaced. if it has seized or is close to it, it could be putting added stress on your motor. enough to throw your crank out of alignment? very doubtful. check your belt condition. check that all spark plugs are firing and are at correct gaps. you can also call the service department at your local dodge dealer. try to make the person you are talking to sound important; they can be very helpful over the phone which wont cost your a dime!
