Default Help With something

My python remote broke today, and my 01 dakota is outside and armed. Im in iowa at school, and therefore do not have my manual. I have ordered a new remote, but i have a quick question about opening a panel in my dakota. My valet button is in the panel on the left side of the dashboard (on the side piece) where i believe fuses are located? anyone know how i open this, so i dont open my car to find im clueless on how to remove the panel..and therefore have the alarm blaring. Thanks!

does the alarm eventuall turn off? either way, simple solution is to let the alarm go off, unlatch the hood and disconnect the positive from the siren. this way you can do whatever it takes to modify your alarm in peace.

I believe the alarm would eventually go off, but the car cant be driven...if the alarm is activated the car will not start i believe. My problem is i need to student teach and so on, so the car needs to be driven. So i need to know how to open that panel before i set off the alarm so i can shut it off

Just yank the panel off using the finger hole provided. It'll come right out, rearward edge first.
