Default TIRES for STOCK RIMS

My truck came stock with 16X8.0 Cast Aluminum Wheels and P245/70R16's on them, I am wonder what is the biggest I can go with out rubbing, lifting or so big my breaks need to be upgraded and when you guys are talking about 31"-33" tall tire what dimension does the stock tire fall in?

Default RE: TIRES for STOCK RIMS

My 4x4 came stock with 265/70/16s (31s). Of course no rubbing. I'm not really sure how the height difference is on the 4x2. Now right now I've got 265/75/16s (32s) on it now with different rims and they did rub. I had to do some work to it but you shouldn't have any problem with 31s I wouldn't think.
