Superchip 3715??
they only claim a 10-15 HP difference on a v8 so i doubt you would get much more power out of the deal. i think it would be more beneficial in adjusting your speedometer for tire sizes and adjusting shift points, thats why i bought one. if you looking for power you would get more bang for your buck with a cold air intake, under drive pulley and exhaust.
also keep in mind that the 6 will never be a performance machine. personally i would slap on a intake and maybe an underdrive pulley and be done with it

I would have to disagree with that. I don't think that the programmer should be your first mod though. I would agree with the cold air intake, underdrive pulleys and a good exhaust system. Although a V-6 will not make as much power as a V-8 with the same mods, it is a good way to balance economy and performance. So I guess if you want alot of power look into getting a V-8, but your 6 can be built up.
The 3.9 makes 175hp @ 4,800 and 225 ft-lbs. @ 3,200
The 5.2 makes 230hp @ 4,400 and 300 ft-lbs. @ 3,200
There is a little difference in power but like I said a good balance of economy and power.

I recently upgraded from a Stage 1 Jet Chip to SuperChips programmer primarily to have the option of calibrating the speedo plus having option of different power options. I have been totally pleased with the performance. I had already done a lot of other upgrades including intake, headers, MSD, etc, so that helped get even more ponies from the programmer. a buddy of mine also has the superchip programmer. (he lives in detroit so i cant borrow it for the weekend. [:@]) he has had nothing but great things to say about it. that will be my next investment when it comes to my truck.
He lives in Detroit eh? Maybe he would let me borrow for the weekend? lol I live in Detroit too, and am thinking about chip upgrading eventually. Like u guys said though, I don't want to do that first. Its totally stock as of now.. Even the tires. Which badly need to be replaced.

I have used one for about 3 yrs now, since they first came out. I haev not had mine dyno'd to see the actual number difference, but I do feel more power. One of my co-workers has a stock chevy pickup with a 350, in stock mode, we can run even for quite distance, when I change the program, I can easily pull away from him. The downside, premium unleaded.
