I just bought an 04 black dakota. It already has an after market exhaust and muffler however i want some ideas of what I can do to it to make it run better and faster. I heard that racer heads are good and getting new pistons and such. waht about an intake or air manifold. Any ideas would be great!

Guess for starters as always once the exhaust is done letting out more flow your need to increase the intake.....best is to do a Cold Air Intake kit, I have a 2004 SLT 4.7L and installed the Airaid full kit and I too have aftermarket exhaust together boosted my mileage 3-4 miles per gallon and you can feel the differance in performance......there are so many things you can do after that I would search the forum post for upgrades.
