Performance boost
I own a 2000 Dakota Sport which is all paid off and the warranty is long gone, so I would like to give it a little performance boost. Right now the truck is still completely stock but I don't know where would be the best place to start. A Cold Air intake? What do you guys recommend? I'm looking for a little more pickup off the line.... Heres what I currently have:
2000 Dakota Sport regular cab
V6 3.9L Automatic
I have no clue about parts/performance upgrades, thats why I've come to the experts for a little advice.

welcome to the forum! some modifications you can do to get a little more bang for the buck are as follows:
1. full tune-up
2. Cold Air Intake (CAI)
3. a good header/hi flow cat/exhaust setup
4. throttle body off of a v8 version of the dakota in the same generation dak
5. superchips (or other manufacturer) programmer (it will pay for itself if you get a check engine light)
6. 180 degree thermostat
7. pulley package
8. 1.7 roller rockers (valve cover will need to be modified)
9. exotic cam setup
use your imagination, the sky is the limit.
