what the hell is this crap
i out a 400 pound engine into my dakota.... i have heavy duty leaf springs straight from dodge... next thing i know... the suspension has a nice drop in it.... wtf is this..... think its time for new leaf springs
Drop like the *** is dragging?
If not, the truck will lower as you put more weight in the bed (or into the trailer you are towing). This is both physics and it's also a visual aid so you can tell when you truck is grossly overloaded.

the suspension like really sagged when the 400 pound motor was in there... but poped back up when the motor was taken out... o well.. all i use my truck for is to load my quad up into it... it thats just the case.. nothing major.. then i dont really care..

haha i can tell u one thing... screwed.. haha kidding man... as the obvious.. get some stronger springs... im pretty sure u can repack the springs with additional springs... not sure
It's a light duty 1/2 ton truck, what do you want? It's designed for empty comfort, not load capacity. It'll haul 1500-1800 without a problem, but it's going to sag because the springs are soft for a smooth ride.
I bought a set of overload assist springs for mine, supposed to be the 1500 pound assist or something. I never hooked the racecar up without the assist springs, but with the springs on there, a bed/canopy full of tools/spares/fuel, and the trailer hooked up it rode fairly level. It did sag a bit, but that's to be expected.
