yeah, just got the flowmaster 40 installed with the stock pipe minus the 3in tip. looks sharp. anyhow, can i say i haven't been happier. it sounds AWESOME! just put a K&N filter in as well, soon to be replaced by a round filter. i would definately recommend flowmaster 40 to anybody who has any question on which brand to buy. gas milage has gone through the roof, but im sure thats due to the combination of the 2. anyhow, very pleased and higly recommended.

 

I am with you on this one i have one on my 3.9 and i couldnt ask for any more except for a V8 lol

 

I am with you nothing sounds as good as a Flowmaster 40 on a Dakota V6 or V8

for those with the flowmaster 40 series. Did you only change the muffler or did you change the pipes as well?

I am looking to add a flowmaster 40 series tomorrow and wondering whether to replace the muffler only or to add pipes as well.


I was thinking muffler only since I do a lot of highway driving any help would be great.
