2002 Dakota reverse lights

2002 Dakota reverse lights
The reverse lights are not working. The bulbs are OK. The wiring diagram points to a fuse #26, but it doesn't seem to be located in the fuse box in the engine compartment. Were is this fuse located? Any ideas on if the fuse is the culprit or is there another problem?

the plunger unber the brake pedal arm could be stuck. also check the compartment on the inside of the driverside doorr. if it is not there then under dash near driverside door.
