Default Engine Light on because of Vapor Leak?

I had my engine light come on and I got it checked out and they told me their computer said it was "P0455 EVAP Control System Leak Detected (gross leak)". I am trying to find out what that actually means. I'm not sure if that has to do with the gas tank/gas tank seal, or any other kind of line. I have a 2003 Dodge Dakota with the 3.9L V6. Any help would be great.

make sure your gas cap is on securely, clear the code. if it comes back on, then we will go from there because it could be one of many things.

Usually gas cap issues are po456 small leak. Not sure what would cause a gross leak unless your gas cap is straight up missing.

I had P0455 when I replaced the gas cap with one from a Cherokee! Put the old one back on and cleard the code and its never happened again. Trya new cap, its the cheapest place to start!
