Default stripped out caliper mount hole

So I go to replace my brake pads and find the hole on the steering knuckle where the caliper mounts to is stripped out and the last guy must have been able to get the bolt in there one more time. So now I am stuck with it.

Anyone try a helicoil kit?

I really would like to not have to replace knuckle if I do not have to. any suggestions.

I have a 2005 now, but my 2001 dakota did the same thing, seems like a common problem you can helicol,

but I used an oversized caliper bolt from NAPA. It worked fine for 30,000 milles for me.
