Did a search..came up empty?

My fuel guage was bouncing around from zero to the actual fuel amount. Each time it did this...the ding dong would go off. Sometimes every 10-20 seconds[:@].

Now, it just sits on empty.

I know our wonderful engineers placed this sensor within the gas tank. Can someone run through the R&R procedure? Has anyone bothered with doing this?

RE: Fuel sensor
its a float.. or a bobber on a rod connected to your fuel pump... its getting stuck... my gauage is off between 4.5 - 5 gallons...

RE: Fuel sensor
It would be just like replacing a fuel pump, which I would reccomend doing because you don't want to do this again. Pretty simple job, it is just akward.

RE: Fuel sensor
Here is a how-to for the fuel pump module (as stated ealier, the sensor is integrated). Sure, its done on a Ram 1500, but, should be fairly similar.
I can't provide you a Dodge P/N, but:
Napa: 22 gallon tank: P74738M or FG0235 or N67643; 15 gallon tank: P74739M or FG0234 or N67644. (Around $270)
Autozone: 22 gallon tank: E7116M or 67643; 15 gallon tank: E7114M or 67644.
O-Reilly: 22 gallon tank: E7116M; 15 gallon tank: E7114M.
