I recently purchased a 1999 Dakota SLT Club Cab 4X4. It has 158,000 miles, but is in good shape. However, the driver's seat is somewhat sagging due to the high miles and large size of the previous owner. I noticed a zipper in the back of the seat, but can't find a tab to unzip the seat and stuff it with new foam. Where is this located?

Additionally, are the seats interchangeable right to left? I know the release levers are side specific, but is there a trick that could be done there?

And...does this model qualify for the ball joint recall?

ball joints, no. seats interchangeable? possibly the padding but not the seat as an assembly. i would suggest calling around to some junk yards, they probably have a wrecked Dakota with a nice interior you could score cheap. if you do want to change the seat foam, the bottom seat has these plastic clip type things that go around the seat frame, not a zipper.
