Headlight Question
heres an instruction page on how to change your blinker fluid. changing your headlight bulb is similar
http://www.geocities.com/changeyourblinkerfluid/
you just pop your hood, go behind the headlight, twist and pull out the old bulb, then put the new one in. the guy at your auto parts store would probably help you with that, they usually do windshield wipers too

kurbycar32,
I can't get my left handed bolt stretcher down behind the headlight to get the top off the blinker fluid reservoir, what next??????????? My Dak must have been made on the second Tuesday of the week because I can't even see the back of the headlight to take out the old bulb or retaining springs. Someone ought to make a jamb nut remover to make this job easier.
Thanks,
phatjohn

isn't there a screw in between the headlight and the corner light on teh front that you can simply unscrew? I know my 2000 is...unless 2003 is different..i wldnt think so. Yea, just unscrew it and pull out the corner light. Then remove the headlight, and there is your easy access.

Even easier way to change the bulb; 1) Find a buddy with little kid sized hands because if they are any bigger this won't work.
On the passenger side, take off the plumbing from the bottom of the breather box, get yer buddy to squeeze his little kid sized hand down in there and remove the bulb from the reflector housing, once it's out of the housing twist off the retaining collar and change bulb. Re assemble in reverse order.
On the driver side is where the little kid sized hand really comes into play. If you smear enough bearing grease on his hand/arm up to about the elbow, you don't even have to take out the battery. Have him stuff his hand down between the battery and fender until he reaches the back of the reflector, detach from the reflector housing, unscrew retaining collar change bulb and re assemble.
All told, took 15 minutes and a six pack of Bud. BTW, we changed the blinker fluid too.

Rakaric,
It's probably one of those situations where one way is just as good as another, and neither one is wrong.
I really like the look of the push bar on the front of your Dak. Is your truck 2 or 4 wheel drive? What kind of bar and lights do you have?
