Default 98 A/C issues

Had 98 AC unit charged. Went down over night. Service man said it held vacume for required 15 minutes before charging.
Recharged again this time with dye, he could not find any leaks. Told me since the leak is not in an area where dye is visable he concluded the evap core in the dash would need replaced. Anyone else had this same issue and what did you do to resolve?

i had the same problem, i filled the sytem with dye and couldn't find a leak. And it did end up being the evap. core. i just ordered one online and replaced it. I did it in one weekend. just a couple bolts and alot of electrical connections, i would suggest a chilton before jumping in.
