Does anyone know how or what kind or where I can find a v8 throttle body and cable so I can replace the stock one my 3.9 liter has already. Any help would be great plus what other mods can I do besides aftermarket air intake.

 

i just put a polished v8 TB on my v6. got mine on ebay for $160 and a cable from the dealer ship for around $30. pretty easey to do. but i had to bore(shave & grind) the manifold intake holes to fit the new TB intake holes. do a search on this thread for a custom cai and you'll be able to find some good things.

 

or go to the wrecking yard and get one off a similar year truck.. .far cheeper than an ebay one.

 

would I need to bore(shave & grind) the manifold intake holes to fit the new TB intake holes if I got on out of a wrecking yard from a v8 same year as my 2003 or can you get away from that and have everything line up right!

 

you will have to bore the holes on your manifold cause the V8 throttle body has a bigger intake hole.
