Default The extent of a 3" body lift???

I was planning on doing a 2" or 3" body lift on my 2000 Dodge Dakota with a 4.7l V8 and a 5 speed 4x4. I have personally done body lifts on older vehicles and I'm sure someone has done them on pretty much the same truck as i am working with now? my question is what all is involved aside from the lift blocks. I know I'm going to run into problems with something getting hung up as far as steering or wiring or something. But if its nothing too bad I would rather just make the kit myself?? Any info would be appreciated.

from what it seems, you will need to fabricate a steering extension. you can also fab up some bumper brackets to make your bumpers line up.
