Lol I hear what your saying, right now I have glass packs on my v6 and its alright for the most part, but I'm getting flowmaster 40 series in a couple weeks and I hear they sound really good on them so I'd go with the 40 series.

my bro had cherry bombs on his 92 dakota with a 3.9 it didnt sound too bad but you cant sound like a V8 unless you have one go with the flowmaster i'd say its going to be as close as your going to get

i have the flowmaster 40 series on my 3.9 and it sounds great. i have it dumping before the rear axle so you don't see it. i think it makes for a better look, however, it does cause some reverberation inside the cab. as far as making it sound like a v8, i have people ask me all the time if it is a v8, but lets face the facts... its still a v6 even if it sounds like a v12 twin turbo. although, i have to admit, having a nice turbo blow-off emitting from under my dakota's hood would force me to make happy in my pants.
