I just picked up a 2002 Dakota v-6 manual. Quite often it is really hard to get it into 1st gear and reverse. My dad thinks the clutch isnt disengaging all the way. I noticed once or twice that with the clutch all the way to the floor and getting it into first it will inch forward. Then sometimes though it goes right into first with no effort at all. Maybe I answered my own question about the clutch but does that sound right that it is not disengaging all the way?
