as for the throttle body. I dont know if the 3.7 is the same as the 3.9, but you can take a throttle body off of a V8 and put it on your V6. they say it adds a bit of power. then I would put an aftermarket exhaust on it and a cold air intake. and maybe a 180 thermostat. then look into chips.

u can bore out the throttle body by a machine shop, i dont know if it will work but if you can find the 4.7 v8 TB, that should work, dont quote me on it, do your homeowrk first on that.. if you just want your truck to just to fly off the line, put a bigger gear in the diff (ex : a 4.10) or if u want the econo highway cruise, put a smaller gear in ( ex: 3.92).. doing a v8 swap is a pita, computer, wiring harness, tranny, transfer case ( if 4x4) and drive shaft(s : if 4x4).. im im gonna do an engine swap, its either be a 4 cylinder isb cummins turbo diesel or wait for the v6 or v8 cummins motors that are goin into the durangos and ram 1500s in around 2009.. now that would be a beast

I've read alot on the thermostat change, and i'm considering getting both the jet thermostat and stage 1 chip after i get an intake. As for engine swap, thats out of the question for me. I have thought about possible swaps though. How about a Liberty CRD swap?

If I hear one more thing about a "Jet Stage X Chip", my head is going to explode. Don't waste your money on a chip, save it and spend $100 more and get a programmer. Superchips or hypertech should have you covered. Cold air intake, exhaust, throttle body, cams and rockers. Do that and you still wont be as fast as the v8 out of the box.

Overall best mod for the v6? A v8.

looked everywhere for a programmer and no one has one for a 3.7. I think i'll jsut go with the CAI and call it quits. If anyone comes across anything new please let me know. Thanx.
