My cat on my 98 Dakota R/T just went and Im looking for a replacement to pass emissions. I was told that the only place that I can get the part is at a Dodge dealership but I wasnt sure if I could find one cheaper because I'm a broke *** college kid and I'm already in debt because my drive shaft went and my exhuast went in the same day and now my damn girlfriend thinks she needs some stupid Ugg boots for christmas so I'm just looking for the cheapest cat I can find so I can pass emissions. If anyone has any ideas or links they can send me that would be a great help.

i just had my cat replaced last week by the dealer. i have a 97 dakota. it was free under the extended cat warranty. some federaly mandated thing.

 

no warranty for me tho

 

I put a magnaflow high flow cat on my truck and it was only like $55 installed.

 

Whoever told you that is an idiot. You can go to any muffler shop and they will be able to get you taken care of cheap. You should look on eBay for a cheap cat to save some $$$ on parts.
