I have been surfing for the past couiple days trying to find a suitbale programmer for my 97 3.9L Dak. If I am not mistaken, the only superchipsthey make for dakotas go to 98-on up. I have looked at hypertech and they dont have anything. The only reasonable setups I see would have to be the venom 400 and the jet chips. My dak is slow.....I have a 40 serious and a k&n drop in. What should I do guys. Please be kind of reasonable on price. $450 tops! THANKS

40 series

You wouldn't know it judging by all the guys on this forum, but the 3.9 doesn't have much of an aftermarket draw. If you want a fast truck, you should have bought one with a v8 in it.

Don't get me wrong I loved my first Dakota 03 SXT CC 3.9L but the lack of room inside make me want a ClubCab and the power with the same mods you have left me wanting some real power.......so I bit the bullet and did the most logical thing....traded it infor a 04 SLT QC 4.7L and after doing the same mods I had on the 03....Airaid CAI and Flowmaster 40 series muffler I was more than happy....so much more power, the sounds of a real nice V8 and better gas mileage to boot.....go with what horatio102 said....get a V8 Dakota and never look back...............good luck.
