thinking of selling my truck...questions...
Ok that makes more sense. Being a 3.9, it's never going to be fast. You could spend a ton of money to make it quick, but there will always be faster cars and trucks running around that haven't had much at all done to them. How old are you? What's your driving record like? I dunno about anyone else, but I had a pretty clean record when I was young and my insurance still sucked. $2400/year on a 91 subaru wagon. I don't want to even imagine what it'd be like with a hemi powered anything.

as for the speed you want, why dont you just save up and swap the v6 for a v8 you can get crate v8s for about 3-6gs. I found some 408s on ebay for like 4-8gs, i also think somone is selling a 360 no these forums for like dirt cheap check the sells forums. I always do there is some good buys in there.
Also do you know anyone that can swap the motors, or can you do it yourself? If you want speed i think that would be the fastest and easiest way to do it, you can get a brand new magnum cheaper then a S/Cer for that truck.. my stock magnum put out 250/340 crank ive got about 5k in mods and im almost at 300 to the ground. Crate magnums/408s put out even more at crank 270, 285, 300, 350, ect.. thats outragous!

I pay $600/ month fully covered on my 99 dak. but I do have a bad record and I'm 21. and I pay $150/month for the 88 dak plus fire and theft on my 99. if I woulda known that my insurance was gonna be soo high, I probly wouldnt have bought my 99. but I get alot of tickets comming off soon, so hopefull my rates will go down and I can bring it back out.

... i would NEVER pay that much.. 600 a month.... i barley make that much in 1 month, 800 if im lucky a month at Best Buy... wow... i have full coverage also.. i thought 200 was bad.. sheesh.
thats whyI only drive her in the summer. it's hard to make a $400 truck payment plus $600 insurance payment plus gas and all my other bills. oh well, hopefully it goes down to like $300 in the summer. then I can afford to drive it all year round.
