Default new owner 2000 dakota and new to forum

Just bought a 2000 Dakota 4.7 V8 with 64,000 miles on it. It is very clean, so far I absolutely love it. Is there anything I need to worry about? I hear about front ends, and trannies going out.

thanks, I'm new

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you havea great truck there. Ball joints are the typical suspension issue you are reffering to, other than that, proper scheduled maintanence and you will be fine.

Virused is right - check into the ball joint recall for 2000-2003.5 Dakota 4X4.

Hey - being a newbie here myself, I just discovered the link to Dodge Recalls and TSBs right here on this site (look at links near top of page)
