hello first timer just bought a use 04 dakota 37,000 mile heater work fine all day went to store came back out no heater just died any clues i hear blower motor resistor wheres it at . any picks

 

Well does the motor work at all? The part is around $30 and it's located behind your glove box. It'll take about 20 minutes or less to install

 

it did 20 mins before did not test motor taking it to shop in morn just looking for prob cause

 

NOOOOO its your resistor which is a 20 dollar dealer part, located at passengers feet, take out two screws unhook harness put in new resistor screws etc ur done 5 min job....I think the reason that mine went out is because water comes in from the ac drain

 

if you cant turn the blower on from the cab then thats what i would think too

 

its still under warrenty i took it to the dealer yesterday and they are saying its a wiring problem and that the just wanted to know if thats a common problem thanks for all the info

 

ah i gotcha forgot about factory warranty's ask them what was "wired wrong" still think its Ur resistor but the 25 year olds at the dealer think they know to much... so they say its "wiring" just a guess
