My 2000 Dakota did not come with factory air. This was originally from the North where AC was not needed, I now live in Floridaand would like to have AC. I love the truck and wonder...:

Is it possible to add AC to this truck? Is it possible to havea dealer install or is there an aftermarket kit thatcan be installedby a mechanic?

Suggestions??

 

I did some looking around, but I couldn't find a kit specificaly for your truck. I imagine you would be looking at around $500 just for parts. The labor would probably be the same. I did find this kit on eBay, but it isn't for your year:
