the resivor is more of an expansion chamber so when the radiator cap releases pressure (truck overheating it will go into the overflow resivor and then pull small amounts back in as it cools

Lets see his first answer was this:
"
how hot is your truck runing...could be a water pump that would be my guess"
Gee if I would have taken this first advise I would have a brand new un-needed water pump... good thing I didn't go with this suggestion, I guess he's not perfect.
His second idea:
"oh nad no it wont suck if it isnt full to begin with fill the radiator..."
What is n-a-d, I maybe ask alot of questions, but I can spell

Another great quote:
"mabie you worded it so he understands it i tryed....lol"
I think you meant m-a-y-b-e, If you are going to try to insult someone, you might want to try to spell the
BIG words correctly. At least "jonnymagnum can spell.
Like I said before I was questioning the level of the coolant, so much, because on my 67 Camaro the radiator is full at about 75% on that radiator. That is where the fill line is. Anymore and it flows out of the overflow. I just wanted it to make sense in my mind before I go went out and added more.
So again I'll thank you for your help
but as for your pathetic attempt to insult me, it just shows how much of an idiot you are.

notice i said guess,

you coulda figured out that you need to fill the radiator if you had common since, or read the manual every car since 1980 has needed a full radiator

next comment:
"if I'm understanding what your asking you have to have the system full in the first place to siphon out of the resevwar... it sounds like your system isn't full to me...ever siphon say gas...same philosophy"

stick with your desk job, push them pencils, no i dont care if i can spell,

if ya wana complain about that try making since yourself "I just wanted it to make sense in my mind before I go went out and added more"

sorry if that is supposed to bother me, feel free to never post again, you are a waste of my time and many other members...

and no im not an idiot

a idiot wouldnt know they need to fill their radiator...

make sure to check your tire pressure on your truck, that is different than your camaro too....

Sorry there Travissss, you must be a good ole boy. Take the grass out of your mouth and use spell check. As for the desk job comment: may philosophy is find out who you're flipping your trap about before you do it.It's far from a desk job,at least I don't mow peoples lawns for a living. If you read back in your post, you were a pr_ _ k from the start, If you're like that all the time, I'm surprise people take your suggestions (guesses).ButI usually take peoples comments from where they come from...asksomeone to explain that to you. And find yourself a 2002 Owners manual, It actually tells you, that there is no need to remove the radiator cap, to check the coolantvia the overflow bottle. On the next line it says'Do not overfill". I went by this. Don't forget just because somebody can add comments to a "forum" doesn't mean they have the knowledge. You're suppose to use these forums to get different ideas, but anyway thanks for your imput. Feel free to heckle me back. It's entertaining
