Would it be possible to replace a shortbox with a longbed?
what all would be involved,
i don't even know for sure If they made a longbed 2nd gen dak.

yes they did make a longbed however it was only available on 2wd models and no you cannot convert it because a long bed pickup has a longer frame. they only way you could convert it would be to completly rebuild the truck from the ground up on a longbed pickup frame. not worth time nor money

 

I didn't know where they extended it.
I'm looking at a frame-off build anyway when I get the money and parts together

why would you want a long bed. I love the look of a short bed. if I could convert my 88 dak to a short bed I would.

 

I just like the look of it, plus theres the rarity issue You don't see many full-on custom daks, much less longbeds.
I'm into unique, If nobody has it, I want it
this trucks gonna lay frame in a few years hopefully, and that not special enough for me
besides, with a longbed I can haul a bigger go-cart.
