I don't need any answers on whether it will work i know it will. The thing is people are saying that i will need to swap out the TPS from my V6 to the V8 TB. I just want to know why? I work at Advance Auto and have gotten hold of a '99 318/360 TB with sensors already on it from a local used parts supplier. I have checked both my '99 Dakota 3.9 and the V-8's and they both take the same TPS. Why change it? All you should have to do is clear/reset the computer before I start it. Unless there is something i am unaware of.

 

They are the same part and will work fine.But no two are perfectly the same .The value at the bottom and the top will very .I didn.t have a problem but you may need to reset .
