Just purchased an '04 Dakota 4.7. I'm interested in changing to a muffler with better sound and performance but don't want to be blown away in the cab. Considering Magnaflow and Speed Tech. Any feedback regarding these or others? Thanks in advance.

 

Magnaflow is great, so is the flowmaster series. 40 is loud and mean.. but awesome. If you want it quieter, flowmaster 50 is a great muffler too.

Getting just a muffler? Or a whole exhaust system

 

Haven't got the vehicle home yet and need to check the pipe size. I guess if it already has 2.5"or 3" pipes I should be ok no?

 

Its 2 1/2" in/out. I'd suggest the flowmaster series. 40 will make it growl, 50 will be a little quieter.

I don't know much about Cherry Bombs, but there website has your truck and 4.7 engine with a sound clip. If you don't like this, the Flowmasters sound good without too much noise.
