would this (http://www.performanceproducts.com/productpage.aspx?pid=108254&name=ARB+Air+Locke rsB) be a good thing to invest in, or would i just be wasting money buying it, just looking into it bc im thinking that my truck does not have a posi trac, or locker in it and i only have 2wd was looking for something which would help in the ice and snow around here

Look around some junkyards for a LSD first. Hell of a lot cheaper, and will work just fine for a 2wd truck on light snow and ice.

Seems like a great idea to me, however, you would never have the traction or effeciency of a 4wd.

yea i know that it would never compare to 4wd, but at this point it doesnt look like im going to be able to find a 4wd truck in my area that will fit my budget so my parents bought this one for me as it is just my first vehicle and i was just trying to avoid getting stuck in the winter on the ice and snow i already have two 5 gallon pails filled w/ sand in the back and have good tires but was looking for any suggestions which would help on ice and this was what i found, a positrac/locker rear differential so i found that its not in my budget right now but ur right a 4x4 would be better and i will try to find one and looking for an lsd in a junk yard which as he said would be cheaper i will try when i get time

Red has the best idea. A LSD out of a junkyard would be your cheapest solution.

I plan on looking in the yards around here for the same thing. My question is how do I know what I'm actually looking for in a sea of wrecked trucks and how do I khow when I find it.
